Ailalá Sousón 2022 captivates with its vibrant purple-red hue. On the nose, it delights with notes of cherries and berries, accompanied by delicate floral hints such as lilacs and violets, along with a subtle aroma of cinnamon and blond tobacco. On the palate, it presents as a light and fluid wine, with a pleasantly silky texture. Its tannins are round and sweet, imparting smoothness to the palate. About Ailalá - Ailalelo Ailalá Sousón

Expressions such as Olé, Hurrah, or Yahoo connect us with joy, excitement, and celebration! They are exclamations that celebrate life. And in Galicia, that land of deep traditions and warm hearts, they also have their own festive shout: Ailalá!

A word that resonates with the sound of drums, dance, and toasts... and in 2011, it became much more than just an expression. It was the name chosen by the winery Coto de Gomariz, the oenologist Inma Pazos, and the sommelier Miguel Montoto to create a project showcasing the youthful, fresh, and vibrant side of the Avia Valley, in the heart of the D.O. Ribeiro, aiming to captivate international markets.

The result? Native varietal wines, playful and full of emotion, like Ailalá – Ailalelo Sousón. A wine that is almost a single-varietal of sousón, sourced from vineyards planted on sabrego soils (sand and clay). It is complemented by subtle contributions from the native varieties brancellao, caíño longo, and ferrol, with a 4-month aging in tanks that softens the tannins without compromising freshness.

Cheerful, expressive, and 100% Galician, Ailalá – Ailalelo Sousón is a true expression of the Galician terroir and its most joyful spirit. A wine for toasting, sharing, celebrating, and saying, with a smile: Ailalá!
