Arnaud Lambert Clos Tue-Loup is an organic red wine made with theCabernet Franc variety by Arnaud Lambert in AOC Saumur, in the Loire (France).
Arnaud Lambert is one of the most prestigious winegrowers in the Loire. Founded by his father Yves Lambert in 1996, Arnaud joined the project in 2005. Today the property is made up of about 30 hectares between Saint Cyr and Brézé, one of the most qualitative terroirs of the AOC Saumurappellation. The result is pure wines, full of acidity and vital force.
Arnaud Lambert Clos Tue-Loup comes from vineyards planted on a 2 hectare plot in 1995 and composed predominantly of tuff, a porous calcareous limestone. Organic farming has been practiced since 2009 and the vineyards have been certified organic since 2012. In addition, as of 2018 they are beginning to implement biodynamic practices. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the grapes of Arnaud Lambert Clos Tue-Loup are 100% destemmed and after a light crushing, they begin spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and a gentle extraction of only 2 weeks. Then, half the wine matures in stainless steel tanks and the other half in 2-3 year old barrels for 12 months. Finally it’s blended and matured in tanks for 6 months.
A benchmark of prestige in the Loire Valley, Arnaud Lambert Clos Tue-Loup presents itself as a pure, precise and nuanced Saumur from the famous terroir of Brézé.
