Caserío de Dueñas Fermentado en Barrica is a white wine produced by the winery Caserío de Dueñas, in Villaverde de Medina, D.O. Rueda.

Caserío de Dueñas is the winery that produces Rueda wines for the brand Viña Mayor. It belongs to Grupo Bodegas Palacio 1894, a large winegrowing company that manages more than 1200 hectares in 5 denominations of origin.

This winery is located in an farm that has more than 300 hectares of vineyards in one of the top quality areas of the D.O. Rueda. At the head of the production process is Almudena Alberca. She is an oenologist who is part of the current generation of Spanish oenologists with an international outlook.

Caserío de Dueñas Fermentado en Barrica is a white wine made with Verdejo from the winery’s own vineyards, which are over 60 years old.

The grapes are manually harvested and placed in 15-kg boxes. The selection of grapes takes place on a sorting table. After a gentle pressing, a static settling process is carried out. It ferments in French oak barrels of different sizes, where it rests for 8 months.

2015 Caserío de Dueñas Fermentado en Barrica 2015 is a mature, ample and fresh white wine. In the mouth, this vintage shows balance between volume and freshness.
