About Fromm Pinot Noir Cuvee H

Fromm Pinot Noir Cuvee H is an organic, barrel-aged red wine made from the Pinot Noir variety by the Fromm winery in New Zealand.

Fromm Winery is located in Malborough, the largest wine region in New Zealand, and in the north of the South Island. Faithful to the ideas of its founder, Georg Fromm who set up the winery in 1992, wines made here are known for combining the characteristics of New Zealand vineyards with European tastes.

Fromm Pinot Noir Cuvee H comes from vines grown organically and without the use of artificial chemical products. They enjoy many hours of sun and a pleasant mild climate throughout the year. When the grape reaches optimum ripeness, it is harvested by hand.

In the winery, the Fromm Pinot Noir Cuvee H grapes are destemmed before vinification. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 28 days. It then ages for 14 to 16 months with a small amount in new French oak barrels and the rest in old barrels.

Fromm Pinot Noir Cuvee “H” is a cuvée of the best Pinot Noirs in the cellar to create a balanced and elegant wine. This results in a good balance of complexity and delicacy.
2017 Fromm Pinot Noir Cuvee H 2017 is a smooth red wine with aromas of ripe black fruits, notes of blue flowers and a delicious touch of vanilla. On the palate it is fruity and velvety with a good acidity.
