About Resalte Expresión

Resalte Expresión is a Tempranillo red wine from the DO. Ribera del Duero produced by the Resalte de Peñafiel winery.

Resalte de Peñafiel is a winery located in Peñafiel that produces wines from the DO. Ribera del Duero. It was founded in 2000 and produces modern and complex wines. All its wines are Tempranillo, a variety that is native to the area. It owns 80 hectares of vineyard with different facings, heights and types of soil, enabling it to produce wines with different profiles.

The vineyards for Resalte Expresión have an average age of around 40 years. Their yield is very low and they produce a high quality grape.

Resalte Expresión is vinified in small tanks. It macerates cold at 8ºC for 5 days and then, during the fermentation, it is pumped over several times by gravity to extract compounds from the skins. It macerates for a total of 25 days. It then undergoes malolactic fermentation in new barrels, and matures in them for 18 months.

Resalte Expresión is an intense and complex wine with a great concentration on the palate and a very lingering finish.

 

2019

Resalte Expresión 2019 boasts an intense and captivating red hue. On the nose, it reveals aromas of black fruits such as blackberries and plums, complemented by subtle notes of spices like pepper and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is elegant and well-balanced, with smooth tannins and a lingering finish. The limited production, due to challenging climatic conditions, resulted in a concentrated wine brimming with character. An ideal choice for those seeking depth and complexity.

 
2018 Resalte Expresión 2018 is a red wine with aromas reminiscent of plums and blackcurrants on the nose accompanied by notes of cocoa, liquorice and spice. On the palate, the fruit flavours are reaffirmed with spicy and earthy nuances. A fresh and balanced red wine, with a long finish and great concentration.
2015

Resalte Expresión 2015 is an exceptionally expressive red wine. It presents a deep red hue, clear and luminous. The bouquet is intensely powerful and diverse, brimming with a plethora of scents including ripe fruit, red currants, blackberries, licorice, and cocoa. On the palate, it is highly concentrated and velvety, featuring exquisitely refined tannins. It is vibrant and well-balanced. The finish is extensive and delectable.
2014 Gran Resalte 2014 is a very expressive wine, with aromas of ripe fruit, currants, blackberries, liquorice and cocoa. On the palate it is concentrated, silky, balanced and fresh, with very polished and mature tannins. Its finish is lingering and tasty.
