About RIM Sarau Blanc

RIM Sarau Blanc is a natural white wine made on lees by Rim Vins i Vinyes with the Macabeo and Garnacha Roja varieties in the Empordà Denomination of Origin (Catalonia).

RIM Vins i Vinyes is the name of the project set up by wine grower Jordi Esteve Xifra, aka Rim. Rim is also a diminutive of the word grape in Catalan (raïm). He starts with recovered vineyards in the Catalan town of Rabós (Empordà), and uses sustainable viticulture with native varieties and a natural vinification process with minimal intervention. The result is a faithful reflection of the land his wines come from.

The RIM Sarau Blanc vines are cultivated with the utmost respect. The work is ecological and free from herbicides, pesticides or any other chemicals that could harm the natural balance of the strain. These are old vines planted on slate and clay soils and worked in an artisan way throughout their life cycle. When the grape reaches optimum ripeness, it is harvested manually.

When the RIM Sarau Blanc grapes reach the winery, they are vinified with great respect for the characteristics of the fruit and with minimum intervention. For that reason, they are selected and gently pressed. Then, the resulting must macerates with skins and ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

RIM Sarau Blanc is a natural wine that is the result of a whole-life philosophy where the fruit leads the way. This gives rise to a very pleasant white wine that is true to its roots.

RIM Sarau Blanc 2023 is a fresh and aromatic white wine. On the nose, it stands out for its intense aromas of white fruits such as pear and apple, accompanied by subtle citrus notes reminiscent of lemon. On the palate, it is balanced and light, with a refreshing acidity that invites continued enjoyment. Its finish is clean and persistent, leaving a pleasant fruity sensation. Ideal for those seeking an accessible and refreshing wine.
2018 RIM Sarau Blanc 2018 is an aromatic white wine with notes of ripe stone fruits (peach) and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is powerful, electric and fruity.
