About Cantina Giardino Paski

Cantina Giardino Paski is a natural, organic and vegan orange wine made with the Coda di Volpe native variety by Cantina Giardino in the IGP Campania (Italy). 
 
Cantina Giardino is a family project run by Antonio and Daniela de Gruttola. Proud of their native Campania, their work focusses on recovering old vineyards, native varieties and natural winemaking methods. As a result, they produce very personal wines with the purest expression of this wine region. 
 
Cantina Giardino Paski comes from old vineyards of the local Coda di Volpe variety spread over several municipalities in the Irpinia region. The vines are 70 years old and are planted in volcanic soil at 450 metres above sea level. They are cultivated using organic agriculture without the use of chemical products and the grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum point of ripeness. 
 
The Cantina Giardino Paski grapes are crushed and left to macerate with their skins for 4 days. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts and without controlled temperatures. Once pressed, the wine is aged in 15 to 30 hl chestnut barrels for 12 months. The wine is finally bottled without clarifying, filtering or adding extra sulphites.
 
Made using local ancient practices Cantina Giardino Paski is a surprising orange wine with impeccable balance and a wonderfully spicy touch. 
 
2018 Cantina Giardino Paski 2018 is an aromatic orange wine with an intense nose of citrus fruit, honey notes and mineral hints. On the palate it is full-bodied, smooth and fresh. An enveloping, persistent wine with a delicious spicy finish.
