About La Clave

La Clave is a red wine produced by the winery Raúl Pérez Bodega y Viñedos in the D.O. Bierzo.

Raúl Pérez Bodega y Viñedos is a personal project of the renowned oenologist from León, Raúl Pérez. Since he worked in the winery Castro Ventosa, he caused a true revolution in El Bierzo.

After more than 10 years, Raúl Pérez Bodegas y Viñedos has managed to produce the wines he wished for; they are genuine references in the D.O. Bierzo. Wines with personality, carefully produced and of great quality.

La Clave is a wine made from Mencía and Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet) from the area of Ponferrada. Harvest is carried out by hand and grapes are destemmed before they are fermented in stainless steel deposits. This wine is aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels.

 La Clave is an intense, ample and fresh wine. It stands out for its ripe red fruits and flowery aromas, elegantly combined with mineral, toasted and slightly balsamic notes.
