About Viuda Negra Nunca Jamás

Viuda Negra Nunca Jamás is a monovarietal Tempranillo wine from the D.O.Ca Rioja produced by Bodegas Javier San Pedro Ortega.

Bodegas Javier San Pedro Ortega is run by the fifth generation of the San Pedro family, by the winemaker Javier San Pedro Ortega. The family owns more than 100 hectares of vineyards in the municipality of Laguardia. The Viuda Negra range seeks to be fresh and jovial, and is inspired by the spider of the same name. The range is designed to seduce, and the person who tastes it is attracted to the wine and wants to taste it again.

Viuda Negra Nunca Jamás wine is produced in 225 litre French oak barrels for 14 days at low temperatures. It is punched down 4 to 5 times a day in order to extract the colour and structure of the skins. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in French oak barrels.
2019

Viuda Negra Nunca Jamás 2019 is a powerful red wine. The nose is very balsamic, with aromas of blackberries, blueberries, dried flowers and cigar box. The palate is full-bodied, juicy and smooth, with chewy tannins. Acidic, fruity and flavoursome.
2017 Viuda Negra Nunca Jamás 2017 has a powerful nose with lots of red fruit and licorice. On the palate it is powerful, young, fresh and fruity.
